Kolkata Improvement Trust (KIT), formerly known as Calcutta Improvement Trust (CIT), has implemented so many projects for the development & improvement of Kolkata over the years and now has a plan to beautify the Rabindra Sarovar Lake of Kolkata in an eco-friendly manner.
Rabindra Sarovar Lake, also known as Dhakuria Lake of Kolkata, is situated around Southern Avenue of South Kolkata on 192 acres of land. Kolkata’s Rabindra Sarovar Lake, one of the lungs of South Kolkata, is the place for the people to breathe fresh air & to watch the natural view of sprawling lake.
Kolkata Improvement Trust (KIT) has planned to start a recreation facility in the form of a Tethered, Helium-filled Gas Balloon, for the first time in Kolkata. Tethered Gas Balloon Ride in Kolkata would give an opportunity to the touch the sky and to enjoy the panoramic aerial view of Kolkata to the peoples.
This new project of Helium-filled Gas Balloon (Tethered) in Kolkata will be implemented by Kolkata Improvement Trust who has identified the place (approximately 7,000 sqm of area) located near Calcutta Rowing Club (CRC), Rabindra Sarovar, Kolkata. As of now, The Tender applications are invited for Installation & Operation of Helium-filled Gas Balloon at Rabindra Sarovar Kolkata project and it’s expected that it would be implemented within few years.
As per the news, anyone can have a ride on Gas Balloon to view Kolkata from the sky and there will be ticket system for that. Ticket price would be in the range of common people and the Gas Balloon Ride of Kolkata will be of thirty minutes to an hour in duration.
