West Bengal School Service Commission (WB-SSC) has introduced an eligibility test prior to School Teachers Recruitment Examination to improve the quality of School Teachers during the Recruitment of School Teachers from now onwards. Previously, only one recruitment examination was there for the recruitment of School Teachers in Bengal, but from now onwards, candidates should appear in Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) to qualify for the original Teachers Recruitment Examination held by WB-SSC (West Bengal School Service Commission).

West Bengal Teachers Eligibility Test (WB TET) is applicable for the Primary School Teacher Recruitment, Secondary School Teacher Recruitment and Higher Secondary School Teacher Recruitment; it means WB-TET (Teachers Eligibility Test) is mandatory for all of them who want to be a Teacher of any school from now onwards.

The West Bengal Teachers Eligibility Test (WB-TET) Examination will be of 150 marks (total marks) containing all Objective type multiple choice questions. WB TET Exam Question paper won’t be tough and will be used to check the knowledge of the aspiring teachers in Student Psychology, Basic Language, Science & Arts subjects. The syllabus of West Bengal Teachers Eligibility Test (WB TET Exam Syllabus) will cover the basics of Student Psychology, Language Subjects, Science & arts and General Knowledge etc.
