UPA Government presented two names for the upcoming Presidential Election of India 2012 to their alliance parties. The two likely nominees for Indian President 2012 of UPA (Congress) Government were Finance Minister of India Pranab Mukherjee & current Vice-President Hamid Ansari. After the meeting with Mulayam Singh Yadav at New Delhi, TMC Leader & W.B. Chief Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee upsets the speculated names presented by Congress for 2012 Presidential Election. Mulayam Singh Yadav & Mamata Banerjee suggested three names for upcoming 13th Indian Presidential Election 2012 on 13th June (Wednesday) & they were Former President A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, current Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh & Somnath Chatterjee. But, on 14th June (Thursday) Congress party has upsets the suggestion of Mamata & Mulayam & stated that the recent Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will continue as P.M. till the end of work tenure i.e., 2014.
What will happen next? Already five names suggested for Indian Presidential Election 2012 [Pranab Mukherjee, Hamid Ansari, Somanth Chatterjee, APJ Abdul Kalam & Manmohan Singh] and all of these names rejected either by Alliance parties or by Congress party. Let’s wait & see who will finally contest for the position of 13th Indian Presidential Election 2012.
After a long discussion with other parties on 14th June & 15th June 2012, it has been announced by Congress party that Indian Finance Minister Dr. Pranab Mukherjee is the nominee for Indian President. Now, it will be very interesting to see who becomes the Finance Minister of India from now on.

Since, Shri Pranab Mukherjee resigned from Indian Finance Minister post for Presidential Election; thus Indian Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh is taking the responsibility of Indian Finance Ministry. During the 2nd week of July 2012, All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC) founder & leader Ms. Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal, declared that her party leaders will support & cast vote for Shri Pranab Mukherjee in Indian Presidential Election 2012. Peacefully voting process was completed on 19th July 2012 and Shri Pranab Mukherjee became the 13th Indian President. Shri Pranab Mukherjee won by a huge margin over Shri P.A. Sangma and will take 'oath' as Indian President on 25th July 2012.
