Prayag Group has established Prayag Film City not only for the Shooting of Bengali Cinema but also going to invite Odiya, Bhojpuri, Bollywood directors for film-making. The Prayag Film City is designed by Bollywood Art Director Nitish Roy (designer of Prayag Film City of Chandrakona Bengal) who had also designed the Ramoji Film City of Hyderabad. ‘Jole Jongole’ Bengali Film was shot at Prayag Film City and the 60” long crocodile was created using Prayag Film City’s advanced digital technology.
West Bengal’s Tourism Brand Ambassador & King of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan inaugurates the Phase-I of Prayag Film City on 15th April 2012 (Poila Baisakh 1419). But the foundation of the Prayag Film City Project had been laid by veteran actor Om Puri in 2009.
