Subhashree Ganguly then went for the Anandalok Nayikar Khonje Contest at Durgapur Audition & got selected. After a long process of various grooming & interviews, activities at last Subhashree Ganguly was selected as the winner of Anandalok Nayikar Khonje Contest during which Subhasree interacted with filmmakers like Anurag Basu, Prabhat Roy etc. Famous filmmaker Anurag Basu nominated Subhasree for his mega TV serial ‘Love Story’; but for Hindi language problem of Subhashree Ganguly at that time the role was given to Payel. Then Subhashree Ganguly made her debut in Bengali Film ‘Pitribhumi’ directed by Prabhat Roy in a role of Jeet’s Sister. But, unfortunately after the first film of Subhashree Ganguly ‘Pitribhumi’, she didn’t seen for one & half years and then acted in an Oriya film named ‘Moteva Love Helare’ with oriya hero Anubhav Mohanty. During the film shooting of this Oriya film of Subhashree Ganguly, she came to Kolkata for a conversation with Raj Chakraborty who wanted to sign Subhashree Ganguly for his film ‘Chirodini Tumi Je Amar’, but for unknown issue Subhashree Ganguly didn’t get the movie to perform. Afterwards, Subhashree Ganguly acted with Soham in ‘Bajimat’ Bengali film which was an average film by Haranath Chakraborty, but the Bengali film ‘Challenge’, ‘Poran Jay Joliya Re’ brought the fame to Subhashree Ganguly & established her in the Tollywood Film Industry. Subhashree Ganguly & Actor Dev are good friends and have excellent onscreen chemistry between them.
