Yes, the concept of this Bengali Reality Show Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti is taken from Sony TV Channel’s Kaun Banega Crorepati started by Big B Amitabh Bachchan. Till today, no contestants of Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti Show had won the amount 1-Crore. But, on 8th July 2011 Mr. Perfectionist Amir Khan has won Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti and became the first contestant to win 1-Crore in Bengali TV Serial.
A special show was arranged by Mahua Bangla TV Channel on 8th July 2011 because it was the Birthday of Sourav Ganguly, who turn in to 40’s this year. The Show started to be aired at 9pm on Mahua Bangla Channel and Amir Khan with his wife Kiron Rao participated in Ke Hobe Banglar Kotipoti to give away the winning money towards Saraswati Mandir Charity.
Kiran Rao, wife of Amir Khan, is a friend of Dona Ganguly, wife of Sourav Ganguly and used to live in Kolkata long years back.
