In the 2011 General Assembly Election in Assam State of India, TMC (Trinamool Congress Party) has decided not to contest with Congress by making an alliance. • TMC Candidate Leader from Mariyani in Assam 2011 Assembly Election Seat: Trinamool Congress Candidate Aloke Ghosh.
• TMC Candidate Leader from Tezpur (Tejpur) in Assam 2011 Assembly Election Seat: Trinamool Congress Candidate Saikian, who has joined TMC after leaving Congress Party.
• TMC Candidate Leader from Rangapara in Assam 2011 Assembly Election Seat: Trinamool Congress Candidate Bijoy Mukhopadhyay (but ex-BJP leader Abhijit Hazarika is also trying to contest on behalf of TMC from this Rangapara Seat of Assam).
Agop Party Leader Israel Nanda has left Agop Party and recently joined Assam TMC Party. Before the 2011 Assam Assembly Election, many senior leaders of various political parties in Assam like Congress, BJP, Agop etc joined Trinamool Congress Party in Assam.
